These days, social networking sites are used to generate more and more traffic for blog and get more readers for blog posts.
Though, it's not new, but still sharing my own experience here.
When i used to write blog and sending out emails to few friends, people used to reply me with their angerness on getting such junk emails about my blog posts. They never wish to visit my blog to read the posts.
Since, i joined facebook and started sharing blog post's link on fb, same crowd used to click this link atleast once to see what exactly i have posted on blog.
So, it's always better idea to use social networking sites to get audiance for your blog post.
