After Plasma, LCD and LED technology based TV panels now its time for the latest technology into the field,OLED. OLED (organic light-emitting diode) is the latest kind of LCD technology in to the market of TV’s. In OLED emissive electroluminescent layer which is film of Organic compound emits light in reaction to electrical signals.
- Worlds largest OLED TV panel from LG
LG has announced that they will be launching out soon an OLED based TV having an panel size of 55 inch. At present seeing out the size LG is the worlds first company to produce such large OLED based panel.
LG has announced to produce World’s largest OLED TV panel of 55 inch having 100,000:1 contrast ratio, which is quite high compared to any other LED panel in the market. Also it is to be noted that the panel will be having 5mm thickness. So it can also be said that LG is all set to Produce world’s Largest and Slimmest OLED based panel.
Well its all clear from the news that LG is planing out to change the TV panels from LCD or LED to OLED soon in the mere future. LG has set all clear minds that they will surely succeed in produce OLED based TV panel soon.
Sang Beom Han, CEO and Executive Vice President of LG Display said that
“Although OLED technology is seen as the future of TV display, the technology has been limited to smaller display sizes and by high costs, until now. LG Display’s 55-inch OLED TV panel has overcome these barriers”
More details about the OLED TV panels from LG are yet to be announced but its all clear that LG will surely represent this 55 inch OLED based TV panel in next CES in 2012.
